I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and let you get to know me better. My name is Cody McCreedy, and I am a 2022 graduate of Iowa State University with a major in History and Education, along with a minor in Political Science. I am originally from Atlantic, and I graduated from Atlantic High School in 2018. Along with Academics, I was a four-year letter winner on our High School Swim Team and a member of the track and field and baseball teams. I was also a member of the Atlantic FFA Chapter, where I received my Iowa Degree in 2018 and my American Degree in 2019. While in college, I was elected to the Iowa State University Student Government as the IFC Senator for the 2021-2022 Session, where I was a member of the Student Initiatives Committee and the Chair of the Mental Health Subcommittee. I am also a proud alumni of the Theta Delta Chi B^ Chapter. I student taught at Greene County High School in Jefferson, Iowa, then, after graduation, spent a year teaching in the Moulton-Udell Community School District. Some of my hobbies include coaching; I coach the Atlantic boys' high school swim team, as well as middle school track and field and high school baseball for Griswold. I cannot wait to continue my teaching career in such a great community, and I hope your kids will enjoy the subject of history as much as I do!
