Sandy Nelson graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with a double major in English and French. She also holds a Master of Arts in English from the University of Nebraska Omaha. Mrs. Nelson has taught every grade level and nearly every class in Language Arts/English grades 6-12 during the course of her career. She currently teaches the Concurrent Enrollment Composition 105-106 to seniors through Iowa Western Community College. Mrs. Nelson serves as the 6-12 Instructional Coach, which means she supports teachers in a variety of ways: researching resources, co-planning lessons, providing feedback and promoting reflection, and a wide range of collaborative roles. She also co-sponsors National Honor Society with Mrs. Michael and facilitates middle school Leadership Academy.
